As COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Dallas County, Franchisee Raman Saini knows first-hand how hard the front-line nurses and doctors are working at Parkland Memorial Hospital, ranked one of the best in the country. His wife is a registered nurse at the county hospital, and many of the nurses and doctors are regular customers at his Mockingbird store.
Recognizing the long hours doctors, nurses and other hospital staff have been putting in since the pandemic hit Dallas, Raman knew he wanted to do something for them. And what does 7-Eleven do best? Food!
Raman coordinated with the hospital director to begin delivering lunch – 100 7-Eleven pizzas – three times a week and, to date, has delivered more than 400 pizzas to Parkland.
A 7-Eleven franchisee since 2008, Raman owns four stores, including one on Mockingbird Lane, just two miles from the hospital. He has had to call in reinforcements from all four stores for his Parkland pizza donation. To cook 100 pizzas, all his stores’ ovens are used. He estimates it takes about an hour to prepare 100 pizzas for delivery.
“Oh my goodness, what a blessing you are to our employees,” said LaNoit Fuller, with Parkland volunteer and guest services.
“They enjoyed your pizzas very much. Again, thank you and blessings to you and all 7-Eleven franchisees.”
We want to take a moment to celebrate Raman Saini for Doing The Right Thing for his customers, both in and out of his store!
