Everyone knows the theme song of the TV sitcom Cheers, the bar “where everyone knows your name.” That’s the example Michigan customer Gary Kilduff used to describe store team member, Kristen Glowe in a letter sent to President and CEO Joe DePinto. Kristen works in a Dearborn Heights store with her mom, Franchisee Bonita Schaeffer. The customer’s letter celebrated Kristen’s “personality, thoughtfulness and kindness.”
The customer went on to say that he has seen Kristen run around the counter to open the door for a wheelchair-bound customer and help him find the items on his shopping list.
On 7-Eleven Day, he said she kept her cool when customers tried to crowd in the store, and is friendly, but firm, while maintaining COVID-19 rules about distancing and store capacity restrictions. Kristen’s friendliness and positive attitude, even during challenging times, will keep this customer coming back.
