In a heartfelt show of support, Florida Franchisees across the state banded together in a big way to honor first-responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. These honored guests came in uniform and scrubs for a little fun and to feed their hunger. Enthusiastic Franchisees, employees and market team members greeted them with cheers, applause, flags, balloon arches, handmade signs and a free lunch.
Almost 900 stores participated in the Franchisee-driven event, serving nearly 6,000 lunches to essential public safety or medical staff members who showed their work ID.
Dhaval Patel rallied his fellow Franchisees and the SEI team to pull off the statewide event.
“Without these brave souls, we wouldn’t be able to safely remain open,” the Daytona Beach, Fla., Franchisee said. “When I approached Franchisees with this idea, they supported it without hesitation. It really shows the love we have for the 7-Eleven brand and the communities we serve.”
The Franchisees thought of everyone, making special deliveries to nursing home care-givers and local food bank staff members.
Thank you Dhaval for your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for your neighbors and all of the Florida Franchisees who participated for doing the right thing to show our front-line heroes how important they are to 7-Eleven and the community. You are all 7-Eleven Heroes.
