A 7-Eleven Salute and a Welcome: U.S. Army Veteran is Ready for His Latest Mission

First-time Franchisee Woodrow Nash Starts a New Chapter After 29-year Military Career

Veterans Day may have passed, but any day is a good day to celebrate our military veterans. Today we salute retired U.S. Army Colonel and new 7-Eleven Franchise owner Woodrow Nash.

Woodrow brings 29 years of military service to his latest mission: owning and operating a successful 7-Eleven franchised store in Stuart, Florida.

Before retiring, Woodrow most recently served at the U.S. Joint Base in San Antonio. While there, he was Commander and CEO of the 232nd Medical Battalion, the Army’s largest training battalion. Under his leadership, the agency had a 98.8 percent graduation rate, with over 4,000 combat medics successfully completing the program. Prior to that, Woodrow was a senior analyst for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon, where he was responsible for leading and developing global medical solutions for every phase of military operations.

As a certified Organizational Development Specialist, his skills help him own and operate a successful 7-Eleven franchised business. Woodrow also holds steady to the Army’s “Mission First…People Always” philosophy.

Woodrow developed solutions to improve effectiveness, resulting in increases in performance and retention in every organization he served.

“My management philosophy has its roots in the development and retention of quality employees,” he said. “Team members who support and believe in the mission and values can operate independently, with managers empowered to make decisions. I believe in integrity, value and commitment to people and the business.”

Woodrow is already active in the community as a youth coach, and he plans to bring Brand 7-Eleven to the games and invite players to his store. He also volunteers with Florida veterans’ organizations.

Congratulations, Woodrow, on being named a 7-Eleven Hero!
