A Salute to Two Texas Military Franchise Families

Attention! These two veteran couples are good friends and great Franchisees.

Retired U.S. Army 1st Sergeant Charles Williams and his wife, Theresa – also an Army veteran, are now four-star Franchisees. Eight years after franchising their first 7-Eleven store in Copperas Cove, Texas, the veteran couple just franchised their fourth location.

Not only that, they recruited Rico and Freda Bailey – also an ex-military couple – to join them as 7-Eleven Franchisees. The Baileys just franchised their second store.

The two ex-military couples celebrated the grand openings of their new stores on the same day in October and in the same town – Temple, just down the road from Fort Hood.

Charles and Theresa have two stores in Killeen, one in Copperas Cove and their newest one in Temple. Rico’s and Freda’s other store is also in Killeen. The six stores are near the U.S. Army Fort Hood base. An estimated 65,000 service members and their families are assigned to the Texas base, and the Franchisees tailor their products and services to the busy military families in the area.

Charles bookended his military career with stints at 7-Eleven, earlier as a high school student working as an employee at a store in Detroit, and now as a franchise business owner. In between, he honorably served in the U.S. Army 24 years. After five years in the military, Theresa worked at the Department of Defense before joining Charles as full-time Franchisees.

To Charles, Theresa, Rico and Freda – thank you for your service in the military and in your local communities and for representing the 7-Eleven brand so well. You are all 7-Eleven Heroes!
