Generosity Reaffirms the ‘Good in Humanity’

Sangha Sukhjinder has been called “the mayor” and “the ambassador.” When it comes to community involvement, California Franchise Owner Sukhjinder Sangha (who goes by his last name) is a bit of both. Since franchising his store in Yucaipa in 2013, Sangha has made it his business to look for ways to help others – from local schools and youth sports to public safety officers and families.

He has been called “the mayor” and “the ambassador.” When it comes to community involvement, California Franchise Owner Sukhjinder Sangha (who goes by his last name) is a bit of both. Since franchising his store in Yucaipa in 2013, Sangha has made it his business to look for ways to help others – from local schools and youth sports to public safety officers and families.

Most recently, he donated $1,000 to a nonprofit organization to buy presents for local children. But that’s only the latest example of Sangha’s history (and love) of giving. He donated masks and hand sanitizer to the local sheriff’s department, where he has long been a champion of 7-Eleven’s Operation Chill® program. Sangha also has sponsored multiple sports teams, going so far as to invite his sponsored teams and their families to his store for lunch after games.

“Sangha is one of the market’s best ambassadors for community involvement and donates to many causes…”

“Sangha is one of the market’s best ambassadors for community involvement and donates to many causes each year without reservation,” said Market Manager Kevin New. “While we call him an ambassador for Brand 7-Eleven, he has earned the nickname of “mayor” from his customers for the many ways he expresses his generosity.”

Parents and kids love coming into Sangha’s store to look for pictures of themselves and their friends on his store’s wall of fame, a visual history of the many causes he has supported over the years.

“Sangha is my hero for his tireless dedication not only to his store and the 7-Eleven brand, but also his community,” Kevin said. “I appreciate him so much for always doing the right thing, not for recognition but because he truly cares about people. Sangha makes you smile each time you see him and, for me, for reaffirming the good in humanity.”

Congratulations, Sangha, and thank you for being a 7-Eleven Hero!
