Taking Care of Business and Community

Franchisees Charlie and Rima Madan

With locations in Pasadena and Arcadia, California, long-time husband-and-wife Franchisees Charlie and Rima Madan have helped their community during the pandemic while also continuing to run two stores and take care of their customers.

The couple’s generosity outside their stores comes as no surprise to people who know them. Through their partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, Charlie and Rima provided 300 meals to local children out of school because of the pandemic shutdown. They also have donated more than 200 hot meals and 600 face masks to Arcadia Methodist Hospital.

Their generosity and dedication caught the attention of local Market Manager Stephanie Easterday, who nominated them for the company’s “It Can be Done” award. President and CEO Joe DePinto presented the award to the Madans at a companywide virtual meeting in June.

In her nomination, Stephanie said, “As proud Franchisees for over 30 years and pillars of the San Gabriel Valley community, they recognize the importance of staying open and serving their loyal customers with clean, safe and well-stocked stores.”

“During this critical time when our customers and community need us the most, Franchisees Rima and Charlie Madan have continued to rise to the occasion and inspire us.”

Rima and Charlie’s commitment to the brand and dedication to the customer experience reminds us that even in the most challenging environment, ‘It Can Be Done.’

Rima and Charlie, thank you for giving back to your community and representing the 7-Eleven Brand so well. You are 7-Eleven Heroes.
